The Tactacam FTS (Film Through the Scope) combines the high definition video from your Tactacam camera with the high-power zoom of a scope giving you the ability to remotely view and record live footage from your rifle or crossbow on your smart phone. Simply couple your scope and together with the Tactacam FTS Long Range Package components and sync the camera to the Tactacam APP on your smart phone for live viewing. The FTS maintains all functionality of your scope and your weapon. By offsetting the FTS camera mount, shooters are able to safely operate their firearm or crossbow as they traditionally would, viewing through a live feed to their smart phone. After setup, the unique design of the Tactacam FTS allows the scope to operate as normal without additional adjustment or modification.

I was graciously provided some time to experiment with the Tactacam FTS module and have to say that I am impressed! Note that this is not something that you want to spend time setting up outdoors in the 94° Texas sun. Get it set up indoors, and then once you’ve set it up go out in to the field. I want to spend some extended time with the Tactacam FTS module, and really would love to be able to capture a whitetail deer hunt on film.

Found it really neat how the image from the Tactacam FTS is mirrored directly to your phone in real time, regardless of whether or not you are recording! Additionally, it works with every scope that I own, and does not impact the ability to use the scope in a normal/typical fashion whatsoever.

The directions provided in the box did not cover everything in the level of detail that I would have preferred, but there is some fantastic video content available from the Tactacam folks to walk through every step of the process. The video lesson format works much better than a written set of instructions.

All in all, I found the Tactacam FTS module to be a worthy investment at the price point. Would highly recommend to any shooter or hunter looking to capture photo stills and/or video footage of the time behind the trigger.
