Forecast is Excellent – Texas Deer Season Opens Nov. 5
White-tailed Deer season opens Saturday, Nov. 5 in both the North and South Zones. Special late seasons will begin Jan. 2 in the North Zone and Jan. 16 in the South Zone.
We expect a record year for white-tailed deer, and the forecast is excellent. All of the state had a wet spring, creating a white-tailed deer population estimated at 4 million in Texas. The wet, mild weather these past couple of years has allowed the deer to eat well, and there are big bucks to be found. What’s New?Â
