Do you believe that Nate Bell has anything to apologize for? My wife and I both talked about it before seeing his remarks and both of us were grateful for access to firearms and would feel comforted in having them in a similar situation.

The problem isn’t his sentiment, but how he put it. Talk like that just convinces liberals that gun owners are dicks, which makes them more likely to push onerous legislation here in Mass. I’m not thanking him about that one. If he had said something along the lines of, “this is precisely the reason why we think it’s important that people have the ability to protect their homes and families, it might actually have made a few of those Watertown Dems rethink their position…

Apparently he removed his tweet and then put out an apology on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/NateBell4Arkansas/posts/10151563834772859) and already has 3,250 comments on it — most trashing him.
