Train As You Carry

Instead of tactical training, why not some (more) real-world training with your actual carry gun?  Sounds like a good idea to me.  Todd has a great write-up on the concept and a course at http://pistol-training.com/archives/2732.

Find out more about the Concealed & Off-Duty Pistol course, along with after-action reports at http://m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=49887.  The next offering of the C&OD course is South Hill, Virginia on May 15 – 16, 2010.  Something worth looking in to, sounds like.

Virginia is quite a distance from central Texas, so I won’t be attending.  If I could find a similar class held locally, and get permission from the wife, I’d consider attending.  Of course, I’d have to do something REALLY nice for her because me attending a 2 day course would mean that she’d have the 1 year old all to herself all weekend long…
