Close Call

1) Not treating the firearm with the respect due to a weapon capable of causing bodily harm and/or death
2) Not treating the firearm as loaded
3) Not keeping finger off trigger until ready to fire
4) Not being sure of your target (and what is beyond it)
5) Not being willing to destroy what the firearm is pointed at

The most important lesson here is that you can’t force stupid people not to obey rules…

There is an old saying about advice. Stupid people won’t take it and smart people don’t need it. Another one I always liked was this. I can’t give you the formula for success but I can give you the formula for failure. Try to please everyone.

This why we should require members of congress to carry loaded firearms. We’ll just leave all flags permanently at half-staff.
